Katerina Sarikakis is an Ordinary Professor at the Department of Communication Science, University of Vienna. She is specialized in media governance and cultural politics. She is also interested in such subjects as: gender and media, new forms of unpaid labor, social networking and privacy matters. In reverse chronological order: Associate Professor, Lecturer and visiting Professor at Leeds, Coventry (UK), Karlstad (Sweden) McGill (Canada). She studied at Wolverhampton (England), Free University Berlin (Germany), Glasgow Caledonian (Scotland); all of these institutions are committed to the critical-theoretical tradition.
