Chryssa Lambrinakis was born in Athens in 1976. She is of Maniot descent and she grew up in Sparti. She studied Political Science, Political Communication and Public Relations in London. She worked in the field of Communications and Public Relations in London and Athens for three years but very quickly she made the decision to return to academia. She continued her postgraduate studies in political science at Brunel University where she completed a PhD on the role played by political communication and the modern political marketing in the increasing professionalization of political parties.
