Asimina Michailidou
Asimina Michailidou was born and raised in Athens. She began studying Mass Media in the Communication and Mass-Media Department of Athens University in order to become a journalist. Nevertheless by the time she graduated her interests shifted from journalism to academic research. She then went on to study political communication and electronic media in several UK universities. She has been working for ΑΡΕΝΑ of Oslo University since 2009. Her research focuses on the European public sphere, social media, citizen journalism and Euroscepticism. When she doesn't write about indignant Europeans and Habermas she likes to spend her time reading fairy tales to her son Alexander, cultivating orchids and experimenting with traditional recipes.
